The mandate of the Quality of Care Committee is to design, implement and oversee an approach to monitoring continuous quality improvement of service and supports on behalf of the Board of Directors and the agency.

Functions of the Quality of Care Committee Include:
Design and periodically review the agency’s approach to assessing quality of care and quality of service.
Identify/confirm the indicators to be used to assess quality of life and quality of service.
Support and oversee the assessment of quality of life and quality of service within the agency’s programs.
Review and discuss findings from the assessment of quality of life and quality of service within the agency’s programs.
Develop recommendations to the Board of Directors based upon findings.
Report on findings and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Monitor the agency’s implementation of recommendations.
Deal with complaints related to services provided by the agency, from people we support, their family/advocate, or community member.
Relationships:
The quality of care committee reports to the Board of Directors.
